…then what is the worth of a picture of where a picture was taken? “Huh?” I hear you say.
Well, the answer has to be either 2000 or a million words, but what I am referring to is a neat little service that allows you to Link Geotagged Flickr photos to Google Earth and Google Maps.
Go have a look, but essentially what this site allows you to do is enter latitude and longitude information against your photos on Flickr, and then add a link that will take the viewer to a Google Maps (or into Google Earth) to show the location. Now the Google Map can include satellite imagery – hence my convoluted intro.
I came across this capability whilst trying to describe by email where this photo was taken.
