I’ve been spending a fair amount of time over the break (16 days off work! Yay!) cleaning up my PC and websites and having a good tinker with various services. Most recently, I have been learning more about my Flickr account and what it can do. You’ll see recent photos I post on the right side of this blog and can always click there to go to my Flickr page.

Occasionally, however, I will post individual photos here that I particularly like. Mostly these will be my own, but I may show others’ work where I think they are particularly interesting or beautiful.

This is one of mine I took in early December at the Nga Manu Nature Reserve at Waikanae. It is a Kea and was taken inside a walk-in aviary. You really can get up close and personal with these birds. At the time, this bird was sitting on a branch about half a metre above my father’s head!
