This weekend, I finally got brutal on my big 160Gb disk in my PC. When push came to shove, I got the contents from around 130Gb down to about 70Gb, did some overdue archiving and carefully moved stuff around so that I could take the drive out of the PC and put it in my server. That is now done and the PC is about to be reloaded with (current choice) Ubuntu Linux.
With that done, Microsoft Windows will no longer be a primary operating system in the house. Sure it remains on my Mac to run Castblaster and some games (including Flight Simulator 2004), but for the most part it is gone. OS X is the new tool of choice. Linux serves its purpose.
