So Google launched Google Maps New Zealand last week. My first thought was “Huh?” Of course you have been able to get great New Zealand maps from the main Google Maps site for some time now, but now they have added New Zealand specific information and – importantly for me – the map defaults to showing New Zealand and not the continental USA.
So, armed with my Google Account and the localised maps, I set about recreating an earlier effort I did with the Google Maps API. I present for you below the new Wellington Airport Spotter Map. Just the thing for aviation photographers.
