Global warming, or global myth?

I think I’ve blogged on this subject before, but today I came across an article entitled Army: Sun, not Man, is causing climate change on Wired.com.

Whilst the US Army is saying something I tend to agree with, I don’t think they’ve done anyone any good with their delivery of this message.

However, some fascinating words are to be found in the comments to this story.  In fact, it is the comment that I reproduce below which caused me to want to blog this.  Well said!

So where were humans when the dinosaurs died and how did they kill them?

Where were humans during the Ice Age?

What where the climatologists thinking when they programed the weather predicting models with an infinite atmosphere?

Why won’t Al Gore debate Valcav Klaus?

Climate change is a natural phenomenon. The idea that man is solely resposnible for climate change is pure hubris.

We now know that the planet’s temperature has fallen, and even the most strident Global Warming alarmists now have to admit that its most likely the planet will be cooling for the next decade or more.

In other words, these clowns can’t even predict the weather tomorrow, let alone a decade out. There’s no way in hell we should be making life/economic/governemtnal altering changes based on this pseudo-science.

Clean energy and energy independece are worthy goals in their own right. We don’t need to be “scared” into them.

I find it interesting that the same people who decry our dependence on foreign oil refuse to let us exploit our own resources.
Its interesting to see the same people who decry our coal plants, refuse to allow us to build nuclear power plants.
Its interesting to see the same people who decry high food prices, mandate that we get ethanol from food crops.
