Aaaarrrrgh!

It’s annoying when your external disk keeps spinning down and you have to keep waiting for it to spin up.

So I looked for a solution.  Implemented a cron job that ‘touch’ed a file every 5 minutes.

That didn’t work, but I left it running.

I now suspect that was part of the downfall of my disk which is now DEAD!

What’s worse than a dead disk?

Do some research and find everyone claiming this amazing software can help me out but their f#$%ing web site is not responding properly!  They want me to drop USD$49 to get me out of this hole – well I was hesitant, but for that price I’d at least expect a working web site!!

Sorely, sorely tempted to hunt down a torrent!

“Invalid B-tree node size”.  I’ll be having nightmares about it.

EDIT: Nope, now that I can finally see the web site, it’s USD$99!!  And today the NZ dollar hit a multi-year low against the greenback.  Feck! Arse! Drink!!!
